Individuals (employees have a “Duty of Loyalty” ) and organisations have legal obligations to act in a prudent and cautious manner to avoid the risk of reasonable, foreseeable injury to themselves and others. This includes things like terrorism, robbery, kidnapping, theft of goods and documents, car accidents and civil unrest, but also local diseases. Organisations that do not pay attention to Duty of Care responsibilities are failing in their moral, legal (Dlg. 81/08) commercial, fiduciary, and social responsibilities.
